IREDA stock opened the gap with a gain of 2.47 percent. The counter touched an intraday high of Rs 169.7 per share, up 6.03 percent from its previous close of Rs 160.05 a piece, outperforming the sector by 2.12 percent.

PSU stock is trading higher than the 20-day, 50-day, 100-day and 200-day moving averages, but below the 5-day moving averages. A total of 28.84 lakh shares changed hands today of IREDA, which is part of the S&P BSE MidCap Index, generating a total turnover of Rs 47.87 crore. The large-cap company has a market capitalization of Rs 43,837.44 crore, according to the BSE website. In terms of volume, over 305.63 lakh shares of the company were traded on the NSE during the day.

Avdhut Bagkar, technical and derivatives analyst at StoxBox, said that until the Rs 150 support is defended, the price action seems to reach higher levels in the following sessions. As the immediate hurdle falls at Rs 175, the accumulation in the range of Rs 155 to Rs 160 is poised to increase.
-“A major breakout above Rs 180 will witness a bullish rally towards the Rs 200 mark, as per daily pattern. However, failure to maintain the Rs 150 mark could derail the bullish bias, leading to a decline to the 135 mark,” he added.
