Leh, on the 15th : In an important step towards creating voter awareness and mobilizing participation in the upcoming 2024 general elections for Lok Sabha constituency 1- on 20th In May, the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of the Territory of Ladakh, Yetindra M. Maralkar, launched a door-to-door initiative. The initiative aims to educate and encourage voters in Ladakh to actively participate in the electoral process.

During the visits, the CEO personally spoke with voters, urging them to exercise their democratic rights in the upcoming elections. As a symbolic gesture of encouragement, each voter received an invitation to vote accompanied by bottles of water and election-themed badges.

The Chief Electoral Officer, accompanied by the Sveep ​​Ladakh team, visited several polling stations including Ibex Colony Polling Station No. 161, Sankar Polling Station No. 150, Ibex Colony Polling Station No. 150, Yourtung No. 149 polling station and the Housing Colony D polling station. These visits are part of a broader strategy to strengthen voter engagement and ensure high turnout in the 2024 general elections.

The CEO highlighted the importance of every vote in shaping the future of the nation. The initiative also aims to address the interests of voters by making the electoral process more accessible and engaging for residents of Ladakh, and the distribution of invitations and badges aims to raise awareness and create a sense of participation among voters.
