Nagpur ; Service de presse leader : Today in Nagpur, after 10 am, the sky suddenly turned black and blue like evening. In no time, lightning, thunder and heavy rain began. Low lying areas and colonies of Nagpur were inundated by heavy rains for about an hour.
The Indian Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert in Nagpur district on Thursday (May 9). Thunderstorms, lightning, hail and light to moderate rain were expected. A yellow alert has been issued for the period May 10-12 and light to moderate rain is expected in places that day, as well as thunderstorms and lightning. In line with this, the administration has appealed to the citizens of the district to take necessary precautions. Although it will be sunny in the afternoon, there is a chance of rain with thunder for three hours. Due to stormy rains, power supply was disrupted in many areas including south Nagpur. Trees and poles fell in various locations.
