Jammu, May 8: Jammu Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar on Wednesday chaired the civil-military liaison meeting and discussed issues that require collective action and consensus among stakeholders.
The meeting was held in the presence of Deputy Commissioners of Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Poonch, Rajouri and concerned officers from the defense domain of Jammu and Udhampur. Representatives of the 16th Corps briefed the President on the items on the agenda.
Agenda items included issues of requisition, de-requisition and transfer of land. Detailed deliberations took place on each agenda item. District level transfer, compensation and other important issues that require action by civil and military authorities were also discussed.
The Com Div has asked the Deputy Commissioners and officers of the Defense areas to resolve the issues that require action on their part at the earliest in order to resolve the issues quickly. He urged all stakeholders to maintain transparent coordination and ensure timely sharing of information on all relevant issues. Representatives of the University of Jammu were also present in the meeting.
