Police investigating alleged strangulation death of Rita Pramanik in Parsudih area
The mysterious death of Rita Pramanik in Haludbani Rao Colony, Parsudih, Jamshedpur, is being investigated by local authorities, who suspect foul play.
JAMSHEDPUR – Local police are investigating the disturbing disappearance of Rita Pramanik, whose lifeless body was found at her residence in Haludbani Rao Colony, located within the jurisdiction of Parsudih police station, last night.
Pramanik’s brother, who rushed to the spot on Thursday morning, found injuries to his head and neck.
Local residents informed the family of Pramanik’s death, leading to the arrival of his brother at the scene.
On reaching the site, the brother found Pramanik’s wife R Singh sitting near his body with lit incense sticks.
Pramanik’s brother-in-law and sister-in-law allegedly tried to flee the scene.
-The brother suspects that Singh choked Pramanik to death.
Detectives believe a dispute over family issues or property rights may be behind the suspected homicide.
Although married for nine years, the couple had not conceived any children.
Sources say Pramanik’s parents owned the residence where she lived, while Singh’s family is based in Sitaramdera.
Authorities have been informed and are currently investigating the incident.
The autopsy report is expected to shed more light on the events leading to Pramanik’s untimely death.
